In January of 2023, the Spriteminer™ Creative Ops Team conducted a series of design sprints to build a repeatable, scalable workflow for transforming popular nonfiction books into short-form, high-impact audio experiences. The thesis at the time was that people crave the wisdom of bestselling books but struggle with time, attention, and retention. We developed a rapid conversion system, scripting framework, and interactive audio format that empowered users to absorb key ideas and take immediate action—all in under 15 minutes.
FRAMING THE PROBLEM
The Problem:
People want to improve their lives, but they’re too busy to read 300 pages or sift through fluff. Audiobooks are long, and summaries are dry. There was no format that combined clarity, brevity, and interaction.
Hypothesis (How Might We):
How might we help users absorb and apply life-changing insights from top books—without needing hours of passive listening?
Information Architecture:
After determining core functionality we structured how value will be delivered in a sitemap diagram. This provided a solid foundation to begin prototyping the app.
