Frequently Asked Questions
Start with a conversation. I typically begin with a short discovery call to understand your goals, challenges, and timeline. From there, I’ll outline a custom approach—whether it’s a design sprint, product audit, or full-cycle UX engagement. I work best with teams that value collaboration, transparency, and bold thinking.

Who are you?
I’m Mark Allan—a UX designer and product manager with a passion for simplifying the complex. I specialize in turning bold ideas into intuitive, scalable digital products that people actually enjoy using.
What kind of work do you do?
I work at the intersection of design and strategy. Whether it’s user experience design, product discovery, or team operations, I help organizations bring clarity, velocity, and empathy to their digital efforts.
Do you work solo or with a team?
Both. I collaborate closely with a trusted network of developers, strategists, and creatives when the project calls for it. Think of me as a flexible operator—able to go deep on design or zoom out to manage the whole product lifecycle.
Are you available for new projects?
It depends on timing and fit. I typically book 2–3 months in advance, but I’m always happy to explore exciting opportunities. Drop me a line and let’s see what’s possible.
What industries do you specialize in?
I’ve worked across sectors—education, agtech, fintech, civic tech, and more—but my sweet spot is mission-driven startups and emerging platforms solving real problems with real users.
What’s your process like?
It’s adaptive. But whether it’s a design sprint, an MVP roadmap, or a full product overhaul, I always start with users, align with goals, and test early and often. Collaboration is baked in at every step.
How can I get in touch with you?
You can reach me via [email/contact form link]. If you’re inquiring about a potential project, include a few details like timeline, scope, and goals.
Do you speak at events or mentor designers?
Absolutely. I love sharing what I’ve learned and hearing what others are exploring. If you’re organizing an event, workshop, or mentorship opportunity—let’s connect.
